Don't know how it would "make the database more understandable". It does make the relationship between objects easy to identify. And that is the part of the tool that I find indispensible. It is the only cross-reference tool that I trust 100%. I've used other tools including Documint and Abstract/Probe. They are OK, I just never trusted them completely. Hawkeye has never let me down. I am using a change management tool called Implementer. This tool interfaces to Hawkeye and updates it whenever you promote objects. This saves me a trmendous amount of time when I'm studying a proposed change and I need to see the impact that it will have (files, pgms, etc).
