Pretty simple really. Here is a simple example of what I use:
1.) CL statement
 RUNQRY QRY(LIBR/File) QRYFILE((*SAME)) +
              RCDSLT(*YES)
The only key being the RCDSLT(*YES)....
2.) In the query I will usually dummy-up the record selection in a manner
like this:
                                 Select Records
Type comparisons, press Enter. Specify OR to start each new group.
Tests: EQ, NE, LE, GE, LT, GT, RANGE, LIST, LIKE, IS, ISNOT...
AND/OR Field Test Value (Field, Number, 'Characters', or
...)
                EASSNO EQ 'xxxxxxxxx'
  AND EAPPYR LE 'xx'
  AND EAPPYR GE 'xx'

Can someone show me or direct me on how to run a query through a CL that
will prompt the user to enter values(selection) and use the entered values
to complete the query.
Thanks
