I don't know enough about you specifics but you may want to look at Kronos.
We use them for time reporting for payroll purposes (TimeKeeper).  I know
they have other products in this area I just don't know the details.  For
TimeKeeper they support twinax and ethernet timeclocks (TRN support is
coming soon).  We really like it.  They have applications that run on
Win/DOS, NT, and the AS/400.  We use the AS/400 version (which is the best
of course)......

Our company is looking into buying timekeeping software. We would like to
use swip cards ( magnetic or barcode ), would like the readers to be
scattered throughout our plant ( Some up to about 400 - 500 Yards away ).
Some form of admin software on the AS/400 would be nice, however, the
important part is getting the timecard data to the AS/400, because the
admin software can be written. I was wondering if anyone on the list was
using or had heard of any good products???
