Ken,
If your AS/400 must be up 7x24, you cannot maintain your system properly
and you(r company) have to install a backup system.
Any policy of bacups depends on on the profile of yor aplications.
The least you can do is to save libraries while active. You can't IPL,
nor SAVSYS or SAVLIB *nonsys.
If you can't IPL, your system address space will be full and the system
will fail sooner or later.
You mast aware your bosses about the must of a backup system.
