        You have to make the connection to your AS/400 first before you 
     start your multiple sessions to avoid multiple signons.  Usually, you 
     have to open the Client Access window, open the AS/400 Connections 
     window, then click on the AS/400 connection you want to make.  
        The process can be made simpler.  When your in the AS/400 
     Connections window, click on the desired AS/400 with the *right* mouse 
     button.  An option box will appear. One of the options will be to 
     create a desktop icon for this AS/400 connection.  Clicking on this 
     new icon connects you straight away to your AS/400.  You can change 
     the properties of this icon so that you start the Operations 
     Navigator, a PC5250 session, or just make the AS/400 connection.  
     Multiple sessions now should not give you multiple sign on boxes, if 
     you are using the bypass signon screen option.
        There is a downside to this.  If you end your AS/400 session and 
     walk away for a bit but did not kill your AS/400 connection, someone 
     could use your PC, start a 400 session and not get a sign on 
     challenge.  And they would be using your user profile.

I just changed 2 PC's connected to the AS/400 via CA/400 V3R1M3 to use 
TCP/IP instead of the Netsoft router.  Each PC has 3 PC5250 sessions 
configured with "Bypass Signon" checked.
     
Before this changeover, both PC's required only 1 dialog box with 
user/password to connect to the AS/400.  After this changeover, 1 of the 
PC's still only required 1 dialog box signon for _all 3_ sessions while 
the other required 3 dialog box sign ons, one for _each_ session.
     
After scratching my head a bit, I remembered that I had removed SNA 
Communications Support from one of the PC's as well.  Sure enough, that 
PC is the one requiring 3 dialog box signons, 1 for each session.  Aha! 
That's the key, I thought.  So, as a test, I removed SNA Communications 
from the _other_ PC.  Now that one required 3 dialog boxes.  So I put 
SNA Communications support back in.  No fix.  It still requires 3 dialog 
boxes.
     
Has anyone else heard or experienced this?  I'd like to have one dialog 
box signon to cover all sessions.
