I have an old time customer who wants to finally migrate to an AS/400. We
haven't heard from them in about 8 years, then, get me an AS/400! They will
run in 36 mode. Can I run a 170 like an Advanced/36? With real SSP, not
36/mode?.

They use the old 36 program Text Management all the time. Now, assuming
I've recommended they forget about Word PRocessing on the 400 and use their
PC's, and they've said no, can they run TxtManagement on the 170? Their
biggest is job is using the mail merge utility with AFP documents to print
envelopes, large labels, worksheets, etc.

If they can't use TextManagement, can their documents and forms migrate to
Office?

They also use alot of Sys/36 mode Copyprt and AFP merges.

If they run SSP, can the still run Client Access for 95 to access their 36
apps?

They would like to get off of the Sys/36 as cheaply as possible, then they
will upgrade/migrate/change their apps and operations to the best way as the
next step.

BTW, this is a non-profit organization, if that helps explain anything.
