If you're referring to the emulation of one computer by another,
I don't believe the System/32 exerted any influence.

The System/32 incorporated a microprocessor (16-bit) that 
emulated the System/3 instruction set.  The concept was not, 
howver, groundbreaking -- The System 360 of the early 60's 
was the first (commercially available) computer to use this 
technique to achieve scalability.
