The "TCP/IP Reference" and "AS/400 Electronic Mail Capabilities" books
talk a lot about MIME support. I really think these sections were
written by the marketing department. MIME support is almost non-existent
on V3Rx machines, and minimal on V4Rx machines. The POP3 server will
decode MIME attachments on inbound mail for you, but outbound support
for MIME is atrocious. The AS/400 may be the only modern computing
system system without a decent SendMail and MIME encoding capability. If
you really want to get more into sending MIME attacments on outbound
mail you need to explore the QtmmSendMail API. I think Paul Nicolay has
posted some sample code here previously....
