I assume this catalog is homegrown? I had thought about creating a
database and putting a "workwith" style maintenance program over it. Is
that basically what your catalog is? I was also hoping someone had
already designed and marketed such a utility. Also, toying with the idea
of trying to do something in Java. Primarily as a learning experience.

When a module is moved to production we scan the source for procedure
references. These are identified by looking for a "(" which are not
arrays.

This would work well with a change management exit program (I use
Aldon).

This sounds like it would work much better than RTVBNDSRC.

I saw that too and was most impressed, although I don't remember
anything specific to procedures. If I remember right, it documented
everything in the system graphically.

I do use Abstract Probe, but have not tried to customize it. I did
spend a lot of time with their people at their COMMON booth talking
about new products I would like to see. They seemed to be looking for
new ideas.

Hey, thanks for the ideas.
