JON, what status is the line in after the vrycfg? FAILED? or ??. I don't
know to much about the IPCS, can you run VFYCMN against it?

Can anyone give me a hint here.

I've configured the IPCS and done the VRYCFG on - once this completes
the
manual insists that the ethernet line should be happily varied on.  It
isn't!
If I try to vary it on it says I must use VRYCFG - and I've done that.
I can't
see any error messages in the log and don't know where else to look.

This is V4R2 on a 170 configured to use TCP/IP over ethernet.
