I'd go for the bare minimum used hardware config. Say a used D10/F10 or something, V3R2, 16MB to 32MB memory. Minimum around 1 to 2GB (say a couple of 988MB or 1031MB disks, or three or four 400MB). Now without considering the "multiples of each" piece, presumably you don't need QIC > 1.2 ie 2.5GB (ie. no need for the 4/8GB or 13/26GB tapes) so an internal QIC1000 or QIC2GB, with an external 7208-012 or 7208-222 (again, depending on whether 5GB or 7GB required, presumably you don't need the new 20/40GB 8mm). Guess a single 3490 cartridge at a time will do ? Maybe a 3490-F00. For multiples of each: If you need multiple QIC you'd need an expansion unit with second tape for that old D10/F10. For 8mm maybe attach a 7208-234. For 1/2" cart maybe go with the 3490-E01 or 3490-F01. No need for 3570 eh ?
