Question regarding the certification/testing... I was in a bookstore recently and picked up a copy of "Ace the Technical Interview" by Michael Rothstein, published by McGraw-Hill in 1994. It is geared to computer professionals being prepared for answering tough technical questions they might face in an interview. Yes, there is one chapter (out of 25 or so) on the AS/400 that totals about 20+ pages, giving some pretty specific questions and answers. The AS/400 chapter was written by Daniel Robert Cohen. Other chapters cover MVS, UNIX, RS/600 and AIX, CICS, Oracle, SQL, etc....about 400 pages in all. I'm pretty sure that, regardless, my $4.00 (!) investment was pretty worthwhile. But, since I'm not a programmer, I use technical texts like this for a terminology source so I can at least attempt to have some working knowledge and understanding when talking to programmers in my recruiting activities. Anybody out there familiar with this text or related edition of another year? Are there any essential recommended texts I should purchase (as a non-programmer on the AS/400) that would help as well?
