I think you can forget some of the more complex solutions you've been offered, looks to me like you've got a real easy solution available. The following may need a few changes for you situation but the principal is sound. As you can see I tried it with your examples and it works just fine. This also works just fine in RPG III (the DS remapping that is) but I just hate programming in RPG III.
