Thanks a lot to Bruce and John! Bruce - We inherited an old job that used the spool file from WRKOBJLCK, so now we can update it (someday) to use the correct API's. I think we will go ahead and end the subsystem at the beginning of the update job, and restart it at the end of the update job as you suggested. John - All our C/S development is in Delphi via a product called Easycom. I do want to take a look at putting a timer on the client end of the jobs. However, our biggest problem has been jobs that end abnormally on the client side, but continue to run on the AS/400. Does this ever happen to you via Delphi/400? If so, how do you deal with it?
