Loyd,

Somone might know of an API or something to do this, but if not, do the
following:

In a CL you can do a WRKCFGSTS *LIN "line name" (pass the line name in a as
variable or whatever) to a print file and then have the CL do a CPYSPLF to a 
data
base file. Then do a WRKACTJOB to a spool file and again do a CPYSPLF to a
database file. From the previous step you will have the Job Name, User and 
Number
and you can "search the WRKACTJOB file for this job and check the Status
(i.e.DEQW, MSGW, EVTW, ICFW, PCRW, CMNW, RUN, etc...)

If you need any help with something this, I could write it and get it to you !
