I am sorry I would have to disagree with that statement. If you listen and
believe all the IBM marketing hype the premier web enabling platform may be
Notes, but I know for certain that its not. If you are taking existing
applications then you have to look at the built in webserver especially from
V430, and the INET server's from V420 and down, although at V420 they are
pretty equal.

You may also want to have a good look at IBM's Net.Data as a tool to use
with the webserver, which is becoming more powerful it seems each month.
This has the ability to interface with Java programs. Domino is useful in a
Domino environment but don't be fooled into thinking it is all things for
all people, or the Swiss Army Knife of the software world as IBM term it :)

Hello John,

The premier Web enabling platform for the AS/400 is Domino / Lotus
Notes. You can run Domino on an NT or IPCS (or native AS/400 if your on
V4R2) and link the Domino database and applications to the AS/400
database. There is lots of information on the IBM and Lotus web sites.
Try http://www2.lotus.com/home.nsf/welcome/domino
and http://www.softmall.ibm.com/as400/domino/ to get you started.
Good Luck.
