I'm seeing the same thing. Occasionally single characters are dropped from the 
buffer. Fortunately for us, response time is good, so the buffer doesn't get 
used very much. Even so, I don't think we'll roll out SF50480, since the 
problems that it does fix don't seem to be adversely effecting most users.
