You test for duplicate characters with the TESTB operation.  The
easiest
way to test the last character of a field is as follows:
Note: Input field must be alphanumeric.
0001 C                    
MOVE FIELD     TEST1   1
0002 C                    
TESTB'345'     TEST1         
50 COLUMNS 58-59
0003 C         50         
TESTB'01267'   TEST1      50    
COLUMNS 54-55
Indicator 50 indicates the last character of FIELD is Hex 1C meaning
that
the DUP key was pressed in the field FIELD.
