Carl, We sold the idea under the same rational. My time is your dime. You can spend it on me driving in or dialing in. I do try to meet with each client in 3D at least once every two weeks. When I first started working remotely about 8 years ago, I was dubbed the "Phantom" and realized their psychological need to see my smiling face. Maybe they thought I had really moved to the Bahamas with a ghost writer doing the actual work. Although the 3D time does become a marketing opportunity, IMO it's because you are there to see and hear of situations where you can provide a solution. Listening to lunch room scuttlebutt or lunching with the owner to hear about their industry trends still has value. James W.
