Al, You can use a DSPF to an outfile of the using the file name of the spool file, and then read the outfile to get the length. I'm sure you've already thought of this, and the hole in this method is that it won't reflect any changes in the spooled file definition made by an OVRPRTF command. Hope this helps. Chris A.
