We occasionally have a stray PC that does NOT want to vary off. There's a program available from IBM: CALL QCMNGETL PARM(device-name) that will rip out 'any' lock and give it to you. I'm not sure if it'll work for your device or not; it works on PC devices nicely, though. I'm sure it can cause problems if misused. --Paul E Musselman PaulMmn@ix.netcom.com >Anyone shed any light on this: > >Customer on V4R2 has an ASYNC device that shows in FAILED status. Any ideas on how to >release the lock short of an IPL? +--- | This is the Midrange System Mailing List! | To submit a new message, send your mail to MIDRANGE-L@midrange.com. | To subscribe to this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-SUB@midrange.com. | To unsubscribe from this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-UNSUB@midrange.com. | Questions should be directed to the list owner/operator: david@midrange.com +---
