We occasionally have a stray PC that does NOT want to vary off.  There's a
program available from IBM:  CALL QCMNGETL PARM(device-name) that will rip
out 'any' lock and give it to you.  I'm not sure if it'll work for your
device or not; it works on PC devices nicely, though.

I'm sure it can cause problems if misused.
