I have used two methods to do this: 1. If there is no Window that encloses subfile, define a additional record format containing the footer (such as F3=Exit F12=cancel etc.) Then WRITE the footer record before EXFMT of subfile. 2. If you are enclosing subfile in a window, you can write footer at the bottom of the Window you are using to enclose subfile. WRITE the window, EXFMT the subfile. You'll get footer displayed. I can do it, but only with incantations, direct copying, and a small addition of witch's potions. Would someone please post a simple example of the code that makes a footer appear and stay on the bottom of the screen, while the panel above pages up and down? I apologize for not being more specific with my problem but I think if I knew a more specific explanation I would also know where to look to find the answer. tia -- ----------------------------------------------------------- boothm@ibm.net Booth Martin ----------------------------------------------------------- +--- | This is the Midrange System Mailing List! | To submit a new message, send your mail to MIDRANGE-L@midrange.com. | To subscribe to this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-SUB@midrange.com. | To unsubscribe from this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-UNSUB@midrange.com. | Questions should be directed to the list owner/operator: david@midrange.com +--- ______________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free Email at http://www.hotmail.com +--- | This is the Midrange System Mailing List! | To submit a new message, send your mail to MIDRANGE-L@midrange.com. | To subscribe to this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-SUB@midrange.com. | To unsubscribe from this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-UNSUB@midrange.com. | Questions should be directed to the list owner/operator: david@midrange.com +---
