RTVOBJD OBJ(OBJECT) OBJTYPE(*FILE) RTNLIB(&RTNLIB) -----Original Message----- From: owner-midrange-l@midrange.com [mailto:owner-midrange-l@midrange.com]On Behalf Of Ravi Sent: Thursday, December 24, 1998 5:34 PM To: MIDRANGE-L@midrange.com Subject: Create duplicate object Hello, I am working on creating a CLP which needs to run in different environments(diff. library lists). In the CL I need to create a duplicate object of a PF into QTEMP which will then be subsequently processed in an RPG program. The CRTDUPOBJ command expects the From Library name and does not accept *LIBL. Since the from library name will differ depending on the environment, how can I dynamically retrieve the library name where the PF exists and use it in my CRTDUPOBJ command? I can do a DSPOBJD of the PF into an outfile and then read the file in my CL to retrieve the library name, but are there any other alternatives?? Otherwise, I will have to rethink my design since the quota of a single DCLF in a CL is already taken........
