F is the sign (+) other valid values for the sign are C and D Well, this is some of the *very* basic knowledge a programmer should know because it is essential for understanding -for instance- pgm behaviour, pgm testing, understanding and solving problems. - But unfortunately i cannot remember if there is an IBM book where it is described (i learned it many years ago during learning programming - regardless of AS/400).
