Hello Booth,

Your positions are correct and I am not sure why you are getting such strange 
values but since you are using 
RPG IV I would define the field as an integer.  The file feedback data 
structure uses BIN(4) fields which are 
really integers.  RPG binary fields don't map very well but they were all we 
had for such a long time.
