You know it took JD Edwards a lot longer to write the software than 9 months. IMHO, 9 months is a very optimistic time frame, and I would say that if you are an RPG programmer with JD Edwards programming experience, I would leave NOW. The market is great for your skills, and unless they plan on training you, you will be an AS/400 "guru" in a world of Unix "geeks", and you will not be happy. Once you have been on an AS/400, its very difficult to switch to Unix. These are my opinions.
