Hello Jorge, There are a couple of possibilties here: 1) The CRTPRTF command has a keyword called IGCDTA. The default is *NO but this may have been changed on your system. 2) Your system is a DBCS system. You can check this by looking at the system value QIGC. If it is a '1' then you have a DBCS system. The effect of this is that CHARACTER fields which are not explicitly defined as 'A' will be assumed to be 'O'. (The 'A' is Alphabetic data type, the 'O' is Open data type. These are specified in the Type column in the DDS.) Your printer file has at least one character field -- USER. The message really means there is the _possiblity_ of DBCS data in the printer stream based on the printer file definition but the printer device cannot handle DBCS data. There may be no DBCS data in the print stream in which case answering 'G' will allow printing to continue. It is possible to experience the same situation with display files and non-DBCS display devices.
