Jerry, Rather than build your own monocasing table why not just use the ones supplied standard with OS/400. Assuming your file data is in CCSID 37 then table Q037 will do key monocasing. A few dozen tables are provided in the system with examples being Arabic Bilingual, Farsi, Cyrillic, Canadian French, Greek, Japanese Katakana extended, etc. The list of tables can be found in the International Appication Development Guide under Graphic Character Conversion Tables.
