tn3270 and tn5250

hi..

pardon my naivety, but i am looking for information on tn3270 and tn5250. i
want to know what are the differences between the two (i.e. what are the
differences between the two terminal display types). the rfc's seem to
address 3270 (tn3270) and suggest that 5250 is similar.

i also need to know how negotiation for tn3270 terminal display sessions
differs from that for a tn5250. they seem to be similar in essence (again
from the rfcs).

i am missing many vital links and i was wondering if anyone here could
point me in the right direction.
