Hi, Jeff: -----Original Message----- From: Jeff Crosby <jlcrosby@fwi.com> Newsgroups: comp.sys.ibm.as400.misc,as400.general To: Midrange List Server (David Gibbs) <MIDRANGE-L@midrange.com> Date: Friday, January 29, 1999 10:30 AM Subject: Faster ECS line >I finally hit the big time. <g> > >Imagine my surprise when using it for the first time this morning and it >connected at 9600 bps. I changed QESLINE to LINESPEED(19200) (the max >it would allow) and LINKSPEED(*MAX). I tried it again and it was still >at 9600. Is there something else I need to do to the line or controller >descriptions? Or a different number to call? The line is still >DUPLEX(*HALF) also. Been there. Done that. There is only one thing you can do, I'm afraid, and that's wait for IBM to enter the 90's. Your connection speed is, as far as I know, the best that IBM currently offers for ECS.
