Speaking of BRMS, a client has ADMS running on AIX (RS/6000) It backs up their RS/6000 and I believe some OS/2 servers. We are looking at the possibility of doing the two S/20s thru this setup. Problems are: A - AS/400 client to work wiith AIX is new and we have no feedback on how well it works. B - I have been told that we will still require BRMS on the AS/400s at about $10K each. The AIX machines have an 8mm silo. The AS/400s each have 3590 Adstar drives, but they have been using them as a single cartridge drive. Anyone have any experiences with this type of an environment. Possibly thoughts in terms of Price performance of alternatives.
