Chuck,

You add an autostart job entry to a subsystem description. The AJE
references a job description which should have request data that calls your
program. See the AJEs in QCTL or QBASE for an example. The request data is
executed once when the subsystem starts. It doesn't restart automatically
after the job ends, abends, or is cancelled.

As an alternative to a repeating 5 minute delay, have you experimented with
a program that does a RCVMSG on the message queue with a wait time of
*MAX? This is a bit slicker as it executes as soon as it's needed and only
when it's needed?

If you want to run an NEP make sure its logging is off otherwise a huge job
log will build up and the program may eventually crash or take a long time
to end when you cancel it manually. An alternative if you want to use
normal job logging for your NEP is or have it submit another copy of itself
and end normally.
