if i recall, there were 4 models of the 5225. what was the lpm you wanted to
match?  also, did you print in condensed print much?  doesn't that slow down the
5225 considerably?

for the conversion, you take the cps, multiply that by 60 for cpm, then divide 
it
by the # of characters per line you'd average.  so if the printer is say, 400
cps, and you average 100 characters per line, it would be 240 lpm.  (400*60/100)

did you want to stay with matrix, did you want to switch to a laser, or a
combination of both?  i'd consider getting a laser, and a less heavy duty matrix
printer to replace it.
