Hey - when using the WINDOW keyword on a screen file which is solely used as a window - rather than going to the trouble of creating a dummy record with the ASSUME keyword to prevent clearing the previuos screen just have USRDSPMGT at file level. This will prevent confusing other programmers as to the purpose of a dummy screen and is a lot neater requiring just one clear keyword. Well that's what I'm going to do anyway - reasons as to why not please.
