This seems simple enough but it has me buffaloed. I have a field defined as an L-date field. In normal use it has a date of this year, next year, or is empty. It's empty state is 01-01-0001. I want to move that field onto a screen in the *MDY format. So, I do a move to a 6/0 field, whichnormally works, but fails on the 1/1/1 because 1/1/1 is outside the 1940 to 2040 window. So how do I overcome the problem, or test for it? Mt first idea was that the MOVE opcode for dates must have an error code, but I can't find that to be true. -- ----------------------------------------------------------- boothm@ibm.net Booth Martin ----------------------------------------------------------- +--- | This is the Midrange System Mailing List! | To submit a new message, send your mail to MIDRANGE-L@midrange.com. | To subscribe to this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-SUB@midrange.com. | To unsubscribe from this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-UNSUB@midrange.com. | Questions should be directed to the list owner/operator: david@midrange.com +---
