Correction:

IPL'ing from side A will NOT get you back to pre-cume status.  I will 
only bring the machine up without the MF ptf's applied.  All of the 
other ones will still be on.

But, if you apply everything permanent before the cume, then put the 
cume on, you can then remove everything that is temp and you are back 
to where you where before the cume.

This thread is why you should always apply ALL ptf's permanent before
putting on a cume.

Then if you suspect the cume, you IPL from the A side and you are back 
where you where before the cume.

Also, to remove the cume, you simply remove all temp PTF's.

However,  this must be done prior to the cume install.

With a CUM PTF tape, there are so many PTF's and and so many co and
pre-requisites.  I didn't think I'd like to try that option first.
