Thanks Brian,

I was wondering about that (the app "hogging" line 24). I had "dug" through the
other parms on the SNDPGMMSG to try and find something saw there was message
type, etc. so I guess it's that or the window technique that you mentioned
(although I've never done anything like that... you would have the CL do this 
and
skip the SNDPGMMSG ?). Also the *STATUS wants a MSGID specified. Don't know if
that will work or not...
