The best "study" material, In My Humble Opinion... is "on the job"
experience. I've taken both of the Sys Admin tests and found that most of
the questions asked related to what I do every day as a system
administrator.

My advice to you would be to just take the test, if you feel you have the
skill to be a professional operator or an associate administrator. If this
is what you do... you should not have a problem getting certified.

You're probably not going to learn these skills from a book. I believe the
idea behind the certification program at IBM is to test a persons
experience... not their ability to memorize study materials.

To gain experience requires spending time doing the job IBM wants to certify
you for.

I personally read IBM manuals, technical magazines, attend local user group
and national user group conferences, and continually explore my systems.
Constant hands on experience with a desire to always learn more about the
systems you administer is the key to passing an IBM certification test.

Kenneth
