    Run the jobs in a different Sub-System.  TFRJOB, or STRSBS QUERYSBS, and be sure it allocates the devices to be used.  Then tune the new sub ssystem as needed to prevent impact on production.

Please advivse how to best minimize the performance degradation of interactive queries on QINTER .  V3R7 on my machine.  I intend to conduct a Query class this week and need to solve this issue if i can.  I have essential operations working 24/7 so there is no downtime to take advantage of.
