Eric,

            One way is to embed an Esc sequence into a printer file that the
till will recognize as an open instruction, and the printers you will be
using will not recognize at all.  You will need to carefully compare the
printer and till manuals to come up with a proper sequence.

            Then use an External DDS defined print file to generate the cash
recipt and drive the till..
