The AS/400 can be a multi-homed host so as such does not have a single
IP address. You have to know the interface in question to be able to
determine the associated IP address - each interface can have its own
address. In such a multi-homed configuration the IP address in vogue
will vary from job to job and is only really determinable once a
connection has been established. Of course you can pre-tailor the
routing to force certain services onto certain interfaces.
