the bldfile came from the 34 or maybe even the 32.  the bldindex came from the 
36.  on the 34 (and 32 and system 3 for that matter), the file could be 
indexed, but there were no alternates.  so
you'd build addrout files, and then have code in the program to search it 
yourself.  i suppose you could have done that on the 32 or the system 3, but 
the 34 was the first place i started.

but if you did any updates, they wouldn't show.  so you'd have to delete and 
rebuild the indexes.
