Stop.

You cannot do a backdate on the system without screwing it up.  You must
follow the following steps:

1.      Do a complete save.
2.      Date the machine forward.
3.      Test, test, test...
4.      Scratch install the system from the backup tapes!

No I'm not kidding.  See the following web page:
