do you really want to do that?  what would that do to the reports?

also, backdating the machine would give it fits.  logs, journals, spool files,
etc would be a real mess.

the maintenance on an f45 must be high. you may want to consider switching to a
170, where the payment would most likely be less than your maintenance.

there is a cpysplf command that takes spool files, and creates data files out of
them.  from there, you can move them to the p/c lan.
