Anybody know how to restart a 4247 parallel attached printer on the
correct page number ?????? I have a situation with a new printer
that is attached to a workstation(3488)... The new printer will fly
right along and will do as most printers(Big paper jam).. I told my
friendly little operator(NO big deal) just restart report at a page
number less than the last good page and "voila' you are OK again...

Wellllll... this particular report was statements(800+) and it 
crashed on page 421.. When the restart command executes, there are
still pages in the print buffer of the 4247.. It takes 15 or 20 pages
to "catch up" and when it does, the printer "forgets" where top of page
really is, soooo the restart screws up to a fair you well... I have
never seen this on a "native" attached printer but this particular
printer is driving me nuts....

I tried this several times and it does the same thing every time,,,
I think the "print buffer" is screwing up the whole mess...on the
restart...
