Barry,

I have also had this message with CA loading 5250 emulation.  The
problem is in the registry.  This is where it gets really tricky because
you don't want to delete anything accidentally.  First, back up the
registry and type "regedit" on the run command line.  Search for "PC
5250" and when it is found, delete it.  Reboot the machine and re-load
PC 5250 from Selective Setup in Accessories folder.  It should load for
you after that.  You used the wrong search criteria "IBM", I hope you
didn't damage anything vital.  Re-load the backup registry and try the
above.

I had the same problem recently on a Windows/NT Workstation that
suffered some corruption. I trawled the registry using REGEDIT and FIND
with IBM as the search criteria.  If it looked like it was to do with
CA/400 I deleted it, BE WARNED deleting things in the registry can have
'unpredictable results'.

I also removed all directories beneath Program Files\IBM which is where
CA/400 installs itself.
