OK, I'll throw my $.02 in. A friend of mine has a neighbor that makes specialty tools for K-Mart (or Wal-Mart). A couple of years ago K-Mart informed him he had to do EDI. Now he only does about $40,000 gross business a year so he couldn't really afford to do EDI. Luckily, for him, his CPA knew a firm that did EDI translation as a service. So, now he sends/receives Excel spreadsheets to this service. This might be an option for a low cost solution. My experience with EDI was back in the automotive industry. We used Future 3 for EDI with known trading partners (Nissan, Ford, Isuzu, etc), but we had to use Premenos to create EDI translation and applications for unknown (second tier) suppliers. +--- | This is the Midrange System Mailing List! | To submit a new message, send your mail to MIDRANGE-L@midrange.com. | To subscribe to this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-SUB@midrange.com. | To unsubscribe from this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-UNSUB@midrange.com. | Questions should be directed to the list owner/operator: david@midrange.com +---
