Was your measurement clock time or CPU time? I would assume that the estimate is in CPU time. Bryan Dietz 3X Corp. "Bob Luebbe" <bluebbe@conn2000.com> on 04/23/99 05:36:33 PM Please respond to MIDRANGE-L@midrange.com To: MIDRANGE-L@midrange.com cc: (bcc: Bryan Dietz/Columbus/3X Corp) Subject: Predictive Query Governor We have found that the predictive query governor is not very good at estimating run times for SQL statements. In fact, it is way off. For instance, it estimated that a query would take under 2 seconds to run, but instead it took several minutes to run. We are running V4R3. Any ideas? Any one else experiencing the same problem? Thanks, Bob Luebbe CONNECTIONS 2000 +--- | This is the Midrange System Mailing List! | To submit a new message, send your mail to MIDRANGE-L@midrange.com. | To subscribe to this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-SUB@midrange.com. | To unsubscribe from this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-UNSUB@midrange.com. | Questions should be directed to the list owner/operator: david@midrange.com +--- +--- | This is the Midrange System Mailing List! | To submit a new message, send your mail to MIDRANGE-L@midrange.com. | To subscribe to this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-SUB@midrange.com. | To unsubscribe from this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-UNSUB@midrange.com. | Questions should be directed to the list owner/operator: david@midrange.com +---
