My company is moving from IBM mainframe to AS/400 and re-training our COBOL programmers in RPG. Since I am the mainframe systems programmer, I have not been included in this training, but I would like to learn it too. I have been looking for the same thing you are searching for. The only option I have found is TS/400 from Trident Software. TS/400 is a DOS version of RPG/400. Their customer support tells me it will run can run under Windows 3.1/95/98. A professional development system is available, which includes SEU, SDA, DFU, and RPG & DDS compilers. A student version is available and includes precompiled DFU's and some data files for the program projects in an RPG text book published by Prentice Hall. I have not decided whether or not to purchase the student version to use at home. Please let me know what you decide. You can find the company on the internet at: http://www.tiac.net/users/zone/trident/ or e-mail their customer service at NCCTRIDENT@aol.com. +--- | This is the Midrange System Mailing List! | To submit a new message, send your mail to MIDRANGE-L@midrange.com. | To subscribe to this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-SUB@midrange.com. | To unsubscribe from this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-UNSUB@midrange.com. | Questions should be directed to the list owner/operator: david@midrange.com +---
