The libraries can be saved backward no problem. We had been running risc for a while, saving the system to cisc, and sending it to the customers (some on risc). The save may take longer as it will have to reconvert the objects. -----Original Message----- From: Art Baker [mailto:Art_Baker@baan.com] Sent: Friday, May 14, 1999 10:59 AM To: 'MIDRANGE-L@midrange.com' Subject: RISC to CISC Hello, I have been off the midrange list for the past few months, too many projects. But I'm back! Have a question on saving libraries. My machine is running RISC V3R7 and a client of mind wants a copy of a library but, the client is running V3R2 CISC. There is the TGTRLS (target release) option on the SAV menu for typing in what version you want the library saved at but can a RISC library be converted back to CISC format? I was thinking there was something in the midrange archive but have not found anything yet for converting libraries from RISC to CISC format. Has anyone had this problem before?
